Happipad – What is it?
Happipad is a Canadian organization that has created a unique platform to connect seniors with compatible tenants, referring to Companion Housing as a way for seniors to continue living in their homes while bringing in income and opportunities for social connections.
Companion housing allows non-related individuals to come together and share homes in a mutually beneficial manner, forming a family-like housing dynamic. Companion housing holistically addresses the challenges of housing affordability, aging, social isolation, and environmental sustainability by encouraging people to live together harmoniously. Most importantly, living with others generally makes people feel better.
