Requirements to becoming a Brokered Worker
Please read the following for the full expectations and explanation of a Brokered Worker before applying.
Brokered workers are needed on a part-time, casual basis to help our clients with various tasks, which enable them to remain independent. These jobs include housekeeping, yard care, snow removal, and handyman services*. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, committed to our clients, and able to work independently.
The Golden Circle does not employ you. We take care of the hiring process and will provide you with clients. You will be an independent worker; you’ll oversee your financial records and scheduling. The client pays you at the time of service. You will need to be able to provide the clients with receipts, keep track of your income, and keep a very organized appointment book.
The brokered worker program is not just about earning money. It’s an opportunity for personal growth, gaining work experience, and making meaningful connections in the community. This role allows you to set your own schedule and enjoy a greater degree of freedom in your work life.
If you are still interested in the position, please provide your resume and 3 local references (within Alberta) that you have known for a minimum of 3 months. We ask for the name and contact information of former employers, someone you have volunteered for, or someone you are connected to through church or another community organization, not family members or friends.
Applicants will only be considered with your resume and references complete.
